It is being reported that Spotify will release a podcast about the life rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine next month.

The eight-episode podcast, which is being produced in conjunction with Complex, will be entitled Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story. It will follow the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, from the time he was a high school dropout working at a New York deli to his rise to stardom and his subsequent fall, which culminated in his arrest in 2018 on federal racketeering, weapons and drug charges.

Angie Martinez will narrate the weekly show, which will air starting on January 28.

This is not the first project about the rapper’s life. In October, Showtime the rights to Supervillian, which will be a three-part documentary based on an article published by Rolling Stone. This was called “Tekashi 6ix9ine: The Rise and Fall a Hip Hop Supervillain” and was written by Stephen Witt. Rolling Stone, Lightbox and Imagine Documentaries are producing the project.

Meanwhile, the rapper is still in prison. Though this has not stopped him from a record deal for more than $10 million. However, the contract includes numerous contingencies, such as him being able to actually produce the music. This could prove to be difficult, as a court on December 18 is scheduled to sentence the rapper.

In spite the rapper cooperating in the case and testifying against his former friends, another report indicates that he will still receive 37 years in prison.

According to court documents, the 37-year sentence is the rapper’s “mandatory minimum term.” This is because he committed his crimes while on probation for a sexual misconduct violation that he incurred during his time with the Nine Trey Bloods gang. Though this is still less than the 47-year sentence that he faced after he pled guilty earlier this year.
