David Bowie's Son on His Dad's Biopic: 'Nobody has been granted music rights… I’d know'

An upcoming biopic about David Bowie and his life has drawn criticism from his son.  And simply perhaps, show-stopping criticism.

The biopic known as Stardust, and it’s scheduled to start out manufacturing this June.  Gabriel Range would be the movie’s director.

Duncan Jones tweeted a remark to the announcement the biopic, saying nobody has been granted “any music rights for ANY biopic… I’d know.”

I believe this journalist must do some investigative reporting. Pretty sure no person has been granted music rights for ANY biopic… I’d know.

He went on, “If you need to see a biopic with out his music or the household’s blessing, that’s as much as the viewers.”

Im not saying this film will not be taking place. I truthfully would not know.

Along with the announcement Stardust, Jonny Flynn was forged to play younger Bowie.

Jena Malone will star as Bowie’s younger spouse, Angie. Comedian Marc Maron is on board to play a report firm publicist.

The biopic will doc David Bowie’s first go to to America as a younger man in 1971.  Bowie was impressed to create his Ziggy Stardust character and the following 1972 album, The Rise and Fall Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

Bowie’s son says that no person in his household has been consulted for the movie. He stated he “can’t think about that altering.”  No music from David Bowie will probably be showing in any unauthorized documentary in consequence, in response to Jones.
